Home Again Microchipping

Pet Microchipping

Each year, many pets go missing in the Central Savannah River Area and never return home to their loved ones. Walton Way Veterinary Clinic wants to help you keep track of your pets and make it easier to find them should you ever get separated. A significant reason pets get lost and never return to their owners is that collars and tags can unexpectedly fall off or become damaged or unreadable. Pet microchipping provides permanent identification for your four-legged friend that can’t get lost, stolen, or damaged.

Small Chip. Big Protection.

A microchip is a safe, simple form of identification that can significantly increase the chance of a happy reunion. Our HomeAgain microchip is about the size and shape of a grain of rice. It is implanted beneath your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades in a process like a vaccination. The procedure takes only a few minutes and can be completed during practically any Walton Way Veterinary Clinic visit.

Each microchip has a unique registration number linked to your pet’s vital information, including your name, address, and contact information, through the HomeAgain national database. You must register your pet’s microchip in the HomeAgain pet recovery database and keep your contact information and address updated.

Whether your pet is young or old, an inside or an outside pet, get your pet microchipped today and give yourself peace of mind knowing that your pet is permanently linked with you.
