Veterinary Assistant
Shelby has been working in the veterinary field for two years and is excited to expand her skills as she prepares to begin a veterinary technician program through Purdue University in the spring. Her passion for animal care started at a young age, thanks to her oldest sister, who encouraged her to pursue a career in vet med.
At home, Shelby has a lovable 9-pound mini dachshund named Lil Bit, who is about a year and a half old. Lil Bit was recently diagnosed with cerebellum hypoplasia, a condition that requires extra care, making their bond even stronger.
Outside of work, Shelby enjoys staying active and spending time with Lil Bit on walks. She also loves exploring historical sites, watching movies, and discovering new local restaurants.
